Iron Horse Vineyards Classic Vintage Brut 2006
As the most traditional of the Iron Horse Sparkling wines, the 2006 Iron Horse Classic Vintage Brut is a classy blend of 68% Pinot Noir and 32% Chardonnay, aged an average of four years on the yeast in the bottle.
Wonderfully rich and creamy, it has a lot of the qualities of French "champagne", though the fruit is unmistakably Green Valley of Russian River Valley. It is vintage quality in every sense of the word.
Wine Spectator gave this sparkling stunner a 90 point rating.
The 2006 Iron Horse Classic Vintage Brut is the ultimate food wine. It goes with everything from sushi and spicy dishes to fried food or salty popcorn on movie night.
